Learn Forex trading !

For someone with zero experience and knowledge in the Forex market, getting started in the trading can be an overwhelming task. Various pitfalls, such as huge losses, can discourage even the most experienced trader. Since Forex trading can be a confusing business, you need to follow several guidelines to success.

First, learn Forex trading by choosing the most qualified brokerage firm. Although some firms are better than others are, you have a ton of options in terms of age, reputation and courses to offer. Generally, you should choose a well-established company with a good reputation that is tied to banks or various financial institutions. To ensure that a brokerage firm is legitimate, check if the company is registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
To learn Forex trading effectively, the brokerage firm should provide you with multiple research tools, such as charts, real-time quotes, trading techniques and research reports. You should choose a firm that offers its account holders as much information as possible. Be aware that the more knowledgeable you are with Forex trading, the more successful you can become in the market. Lastly, choose a highly regarded brokerage form with favorable spread. Be aware that a company with a good spread means that the firm takes off the top of each trade, translating into more profit for you.

In order to learn Forex trading, you need hands-on courses that allow you to experience the market firsthand. Of course, investing money without proper knowledge can lead to disastrous losses, so opening up a demo account should be your next move. With this demo account, you learn Forex trading firsthand because you will be given a pretend balance, which you could use to play around and experience the feel for Forex trading before using real money.
Most demo accounts are free-of-charge for an entire month. During this time, you can learn Forex trading and all its features, techniques and tricks without losing any money. Plus, you are able to master the software, which enables you to make fast trades when the time comes to trade. It is important not to rush the 1-month trial period because this is the most important phase of your trading course.

Once you learn Forex trading and experience a whole month's worth of market experience, then you can now use a real account with actual money. However, never invest large amounts of money; start small and try not to break the bank when getting started in the market place. By choosing a good broker, maximizing the benefits of a demo account and taking your investment one-step at a time, you learn Forex trading can be a fulfilling experience when executed the right way.

7 Tips to better Currency Trading

Currency trading training is not over when a trader finally sees the equity increasing in their account.
The Forex market is a very demanding environment and for a trader to maintain a success level, constant currency trading training is necessary.
The following 7 favorite tips can be used as timely reminders and need to be read and absorbed on a regular basis:

#1 - Take Responsibility
"The buck stops here." Don't blame the markets, or a host of other factors for a losing trade. You entered it for whatever reasons you had at the time. Take responsibility for it.
#2 - Use Each Losing Trade As A Stepping Stone
You lost a trade? Good. It will help you focus on a potential problem in your trading method. If after careful analysis you are satisfied you worked according to your plan, fine. Move on.
#3 - Never Become Impatient With The Market
New traders in the early stages of their currency trading training can be eaten alive by the market. During periods of consolidation with little liquidity the anxious impatient trader will force trading opportunities where there none.
Learn to accept the fact that around 70% of the time price will be in a consolidation channel.
#4 - Focus Daily On Improving Your Trading Skills
Currency trading training is an ongoing process. Day by day, step by step the trader improves. So rather than be preoccupied with profits and losses, concentrate on developing the skills. Your account will start to reflect your focus in time.

#5 - Be Pleased With Well Executed Trades Whatever The Outcome
Is this possible? Yes. You can feel well pleased even with a losing trade if you stuck to your methodology and executed the trade well. It is dangerous to feel good about a winning trade when you went against your trading method to achieve it. Your elation is likely to be short lived. Learn to execute the plan!
#6 - If In Doubt Stay Out
The feeling of regret can drain a person mentally and emotionally from entering a poorly considered trade. Once the trigger has been pulled and the trade starts going wrong, the agony of watching it inch towards your stop should renew in the trader the determination to stay out when in doubt!
#7 - Always Have A Good Reason
Currency trading training involves careful analysis of reasons for entering a trade. Just because price is high is not a reason to go short or long if price is low. Price will do what price wants to do so rather than trading from gut reaction, e.g. "Price can't go any higher (or lower)" learn to detach emotions and use pure technical analysis to establish a number of reasons why you should take a trade.
As currency trading training is a long term commitment, skills and disciplines learned can sometimes be forgotten as bad habits creep in.
It is necessary to constantly renew the thinking processes by repeating over and over the habits of successful traders.
These 7 favorite tips will keep the newer trader out of a lot of trouble!

What Is A Forex Pip ?

In the forex world, Pip stands for Percentage In Point and is used to describe the smallest denominator or increment on the currency market. In most markets a pip is valued at 0.0001 (four decimal places) except for the Japanese Yen which is valued at two decimal places (0.01).

Confused yet?

Well think of it in everyday terms. When you go to the grocery store, the smallest possible piece of money you can hand over is 1 cent. There cannot be anything smaller then that. Same thing goes for the grocery store owner, he can only price things at 1 cent or go up in 1 cent increments.

So now we have the basics. Lets have an example! Say you entered the currency marketed trading euro's when the market rate was 1.2134. You wait a while and then sold on those euro's for 1.2144. In the currency exchange world we would say you have made 10 pips, or up 10 pips. Obviously because 1.2144 - 1.2134 = 0.0010.

Your probably thinking you've seen numbers like 1.2144 in your life before. And you would be right! Think about every night when you watch the evening news. They are expressing the currency rates in pips. Atleast now you will know what they are talking about!

So we know what a forex pip is, but we cant exactly brag to our mates that we are 10 pips up can we! Well luckily pips have a very good use. In the most basic of uses, they can be used to calculate profit on a foreign exchange trade. We commonly use the expression :

Pips Made x $(Initial Investment) = $(Profit)

So if we then switch that into real world money terms. Lets say we invested $10,000 into any currency. And we made 15 pips gain before we sold our trade.

0.0015 x $10,000 = $15

If you play around with these numbers a bit you will realise that if your initial investment is $10,000 (Which is a common amount when in the currency market), then for every pip gained, you will gain $1.

It doesnt sound like an awful lot does it. But you have to remember over time, and with big investment. We can get alot of these "Pip" movements happening.
